Meet Dr. Brenda

As a mom of three, an avid yogi, and an advocate of holistic wellness, Dr. Brenda Huynh is more than just a Board-Certified pediatric dentist. She is a compassionate leader, friend, and parent upholding the highest standard of dental care. With respect and kindness, she ensures that you and your children feel comfortable, understood, and at ease during your visit and beyond.

Dr. Brenda has a deep commitment to promoting children’s oral health through prevention, nutrition, and a focus that includes lactation, perinatal, and infant oral health support. Certified in children and pre+postnatal yoga, she advocates for mindful living and wellness. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Brenda has extensive pediatric experience in treating children of all ages and volunteers her time teaching at the University of Washington as an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

After going through her own struggles of nursing a newborn with a tongue tie, Dr. Brenda has taken a keen interest in oral restrictions and their relationship with orofacial myofunctional disorders, including infant nursing, feeding and swallowing, speech articulation, and pediatric airway and sleep-disordered breathing. She believes in successfully treating her patients through a thoughtful, collaborative team approach, one that includes other providers and the parents.

Outside the office, Dr. Brenda loves to be active and enjoys the beauty of the Pacific Northwest outdoors with her husband and three lovely children.

After graduating at the top of his class, he completed his residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center in Brooklyn, NY, where he worked closely alongside oral-maxillofacial surgeons and many dental specialists on cases involving head and neck trauma, facial plastic surgery, anesthesia and sedation, dental implants, and TMJ.

He then served a second year as Chief Resident in the Department of Dental Medicine. This additional year of training allowed Dr. Hwang to further his knowledge and experience in surgical and restorative dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation cases including crown, bridge, and veneer restorations, root canals, complex extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.
